The simple answer is a passionately pursued hobby that turned into a business. Founders Australian Ben Laffer and Britian Zeman McCreadie, both long term residents of Cambodia and dirt bike enthusiasts, first started riding the back roads of Cambodia in 1994, when dirt bikes were scarce and routes limited and unpredictable. In 1998 they organized the countrys first ever group motorcycle tour, the Mondulkiri RallyRaid. Until that time a large group had never attempted to travel what was regarded as a difficult and dangerous route, a route only ever attempted by a handful of foreigners and Khmers, Ben and Zeman among them. They have not stopped since.
